Our Team

Ed Mitchell

Director

Ed began his residential property career in 2002 at what is now a leading City & East London independent agency, before moving to a larger agency in 2005. During his tenure, as Head of Residential Lettings, the business expanded across Central London from two offices to eight. In 2008 Ed founded his own agency in Covent Garden alongside Pete. The company firmly established itself as a market leader for client service and in 2013 was acquired by one of London’s largest estate agency groups. Knowledgeable, tenacious and attentive, Ed is in his element caring for clients and nurturing relationships. Our Concierge services fall under his stewardship and he somehow finds time to maintain perfect financial order for the company.

Favourite Restaurant in London: London has far too many great restaurants for me to name a favourite! I’d probably head to Old Spitalfields Market though, either grabbing a sublime Burmese lunchbox from Lahpet if I’m in a hurry or heading round to the original Hawksmoor on Commercial Street if I have (a lot!) more time on my hands. I never get tired of the buzz around Spitalfields and Shoreditch, there is so much character packed into the area and something for literally all tastes.

Pete Moore

Director

Pete has lived and worked in London for 16 years and first met Ed in 2003 as he accepted the role of Trainee Lettings Negotiator at the same estate agency. Within two years, Pete was Manager of their flagship City office, with a team of ten staff and an annual turnover in excess of £1Million. In 2008, after five years’ service, it was time for a new challenge and alongside Ed, he founded a new lettings and management firm in Central London. Following the sale of that business in 2013, Pete took some time to pursue his passion for property development by completing multiple London renovation projects, before reuniting with Ed to form Cobalt Property Partners in 2014. Pete is a gifted Property developer and a natural negotiator. His market insight, legal acumen and dedication to property finding, consistently match our Search and Acquisition clients with their ideal properties. Pete has degree In Mathematics and enjoys bamboozling his colleagues with his lightning-quick calculator skills.

Favourite Restaurant in London: IL Bordello in Wapping. Nestled in amongst the cobbled streets, this is a traditional place with good honest food, a bustling atmosphere and amazing service; it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in town. Check out the Captain Kidd pub opposite as well – a great place to take in the river views and enjoy a cheeky pint of Sam Smith’s before dinner.

Sonal Valand

Senior Property Manager

Heading the Property Management team, liaising with clients, overseeing any complexities - Sonal is always on the go. An intuitive problem solver with a meticulous eye for detail, she reliably achieves collaborative outcomes and can pretty much recite the HMO guidelines. Sonal started her career in property in 2017 and hasn’t looked back!

Favourite Restaurant in London: Vapianos, Bankside. Who doesn’t like delicious pizza and pasta?! Plus, they cook in front of you, which I'm a fan of! It has a great location in Southwark right by the river so you can enjoy a stroll along the Thames after dinner – I usually like to head to the quirky Old King’s Head pub in nearby London Bridge.

Jade Wainwright

Always ready with a smile, Jade will go out of her way to deliver a successful client experience. In the middle of completing her University Degree, Jade took the opportunity to experience the Marketing world in San Diego, before coming back to finish her studies and receiving a First-Class Degree in Marketing Management.

Favourite Restaurant in London: Dishoom, Covent Garden - This is a wonderful place if you like fresh, flavourful Indian cuisine (and spice) in stylish surroundings! Covent Garden and neighbouring Soho are always buzzing; I love the blend of history and modernity in this part of town which Dishoom manages to capture.

Emily Greenwood

Property Manager

Working alongside Sonal is our Property Manager Emily, our main point of contact for our tenants. She is organised and will always go that extra mile to ensure property maintenance is always resolved successfully. Before joining Cobalt, she worked with a sporting company however her real passion for Property started when she was studying at Oxford Brooks where she wrote a whole dissertation discussing property! Emily joined us in 2021 and is looking to excel her career in all things property related!

Favourite Restaurant in London: Homeslice in Neals Yard. The atmosphere is so different to your usual vibrant streets of Soho, and you can never go wrong with pizza! After dinner, I would usually find a local bar to enjoy a large Aperol Spritz.
